Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a short stay at the Mount Gambier Hotel during a gourmet getaway, and it was quite the experience. Nestled in the bustling heart of town, the hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the culinary delights of the Limestone Coast. On arrival, I checked into the Small Double Room, aptly named the Shoebox. While it may lack windows, it was impressively clean and modern, particularly the spacious bathroom with a fantastic rain-head shower-I truly appreciated the thoughtful design, reminiscent of my favorite coastal retreats back home. Though I didn't dine in the hotel's restaurant, I couldn't resist a casual sampling of local favorites available nearby. Each evening, I returned to a cozy room, ready to unwind after a day of exploring. If you're seeking a blend of comfort and culinary adventure, the Mount Gambier Hotel is definitely worth considering for your next escape!
